So, Guess what!? i came across another deal just in time! well my cousin works at a shop that i get all my parts from, that has been around for a while. He calls me up today and says that they found a head in storage, that might go on my motor. The owner says when they were having the BHG issues, they just replaced the head, not thinking it was the head gasket.

The only thing is, i dunno if it is a turbo head or a NA head. I think it's NA, but i wanna be sure.

OH, and i got it for 40$. LOL!

Found these crazy ass lookin plugs in the head. all it said was Split Fire on the plug. ANy idea's?

AND i got the crank, pistons, and goodies out tonight! (Had help from a buddy ;] )

Turns out the bottom end had been rebuilt, very recently before it went down. Had black RTV on oil pan, instead of the Toyota grey, and had ACL bearings all the way around.

OH and my other goodies came in today!

that's an NA head, the valve covers on a turbo are different and don't have the writing...

however, the heads are the same, minus 1 cam, so either way you're good to go...!

But, whilst we wait, i decided to start cleaning the engine bay and stuff. I always gotta keep busy ;]

Ok, so the head had 1 bent valve? so i got one from my cousin for 8.50$ and i'm gonna take to machine shoppe tomorrow. Pics will Defiantly be up when i get it back!

Still doing cleaning and junk. I need some parts, so if you have some of this stuff laying around, i might take it off ur hands:naughty:

This piece is in good condition, except for the the 90 degree pipe. looks to be broked and i don't wanna try and fix it :\

The timing belt crank pully, bent it using my special service tool....aka a pry-bar. LOL i could try to straighten it back out, but i tried and it isn't working for me :\

Stock intake. I can get couplers, but i don't wanna dump money into buying a fancy piece of bent pipe.

also, on stock intake box, i'm missing the piece that connects to body.

Also, i dunno if i trust the injectors that came with the car. i dunno if they work And i'm missing one. They have lime green connectors.

GOT STUFF BACK FROM MACHINE SHOPPE!
Had head rebuilt, decked, washed, and he said he adjusted the valves also. so i was like cool :]

Block was washed, decked,new freeze plugs(made sure they were mm instead of standard....last ones, guy put in just a slightly smaller one and blew 3 of them out :[ ) and a hone to seat rings ;]


I know NOTHING about heads, valves, nothing... i'm thinking of learning on the spare head i have laying around :]

AND his super secret 1970's engine assembly goo from K-Mart ROFL(ps: i've used on all my rebuilds LOL )
