Ok... couple of ideas and concerns.

-You cut down the supra gas pedal, does it have enough throw to fully pull the throttle open now?

-The stock rear axle MIGHT be able to fit the 3rd member from a toyota truck in it, In that case gear selection and heavyduty components would be easy. Might be able to get some truck axles or have custom ones made if needed as well.

The truck rears were 7.5" if I remember correctly and the celica a 6.7" so 3rd member swap was not an option.

I got some cool shit in the mail yesterday
3" thick aluminum radiator(summit), braided and coated stainless steel full legnth clutch line(driftmotion), intercooler pipe reducers (driftmotion), OEM oil filter, and a few other random things.

The radiator fits pretty good, But I will definently still have to do come cutting and customizing to get it to fit right.

70's celicas are WAY nicer than mid70's mustangs. I love your build keep up the great work! BTW any idea on how much your car will weigh with the 7M in it?

2750ish? maybe I am not really sure, i will definently have it weighed when I am finished.

.QUOTE]

I had the bend the pedal to get it into my car, becasue they way it was bent for the supra it was hitting my bottom air vents.

also I used an isuzu suv transmission kickdown cable for my throttle cable and just shortened it, it looks 100x better than stock.
since this is a jdm engine it does not have the throttle linkage setup the usdm one does, I think that might also have something to do with the shorter throw.
Anyways, I cut out about 3.5 inches out of the top section of the pedal and welded the cable mount back to the top of it. I STILL HAVE TOO MUCH throttle travel. I am at 100% throttle when the pedal is about 3/4 of an inch from the floor. So I will either bend the pedal so it hits the floor a little sooner (since I want to lower it a slight bit anyway) or just worry about it once I put the carpet back in and go from there.

I got it to crank over by using the key yesterday, and I got power hooked up to all of the factory celica wiring.
Now to start it all I have to do is wire up a couple relays and hook to the ecu for constant and switched power, the fuel pump and a few other random things.
