I've noticed my Supra's, even being rebuilt to specs, have a weird noise. It's a soft noise that you don't really notice, kinda sounds a little like a sliver of piston slap.(If you drove the car and have never driven it before, then you wouldn't notice it) It only happens for me between, 1100 and 1500. But you'll never hear it anywhere else over the rpm board.
Note: (Also, i've noticed it in other inline 6 motors, like jeeps, and ford trucks.) maybe a coincidence.

i have the same rattling sound that Dragk913 coming from around that section. from what i think its coming from a possible loose bracket under there causing it to rattle against the transmission or the exhaust under 1500rpms. try to see if u can have the car up on a lift while the car is makin the rattling noise
Unfortunately, the sound is not normal. It just started about a week.5 ago.
I guess I'll check again for anything loose, but I think I did a pretty thorough check
