After I get everything situated and running correctlyn my goal is to clean up the engine bay. There's a lot of stuff I want to get rid off. Going FFIM maybe help me accomplish this.

We could make your bay look like mine, but more aesthetically pleasing. :naughty: Maybe a little less Shaeffcar, more Mocar.

Haha I like that idea Chris. Basically your engine bay is what I had I mind. Only the bare essentials. ;) Happy New Years man!

Update:

I went to see the car today at the body shop. The primer is completely done and it should be sprayed next week. So hopefully I should have some finished pics in a couple weeks for you guys :). Stay posted.

Another quick update:

Apparently there was a small issue with the paint. The door jams were the first to be painted. After it was sprayed and cleared, it began to fish-eye really bad. After trying a different clear and activator, they could still not figure out the problem.

After another test, the situation was finally resolved. It seems the prep solvent they were using was causing the clear coat to seperate from the paint and, in turn, causing the fish-eyes.

Now that it's all figured out, the car should be completely taken care of in several weeks. Stay tuned to see the final product.

I'm pretty sure I decided on the Volk GTS wheel. Either Gunmetal with a polished lip, or all chrome. I think it'll look great.

However, that's going to have to be put on hold until I get some more funds ;)

Whats up Mo, have you checked out the Volk GT-C wheels, particularly the mercury silver color? So so sexxxxy.

Negative. Not aggressive enough, especially the front.

Roll and flare the front/rear fenders, then go with

Front: from 9.5" low 20s offset to 10" high 20s offset
Rear: from 10.5" mid teens offset to 11" low 20s offset

True I would go that way.

I have. I've actually looked at many of the Volk wheels. They're all so nice, but also very pricey. I was originally looking at the Volk SF Challenges in Mercury Silver. However, with all the suggestions from everyone on the site, I'm still a little unsure :1zhelp:

We'll see what happens. I need to gather more of the money first before I stress out over it. When that happens, I'll post up some more questions and come to a decision. Thanks!

You know, that is a very good idea. I know someone who has a set of stock rims and tires. Maybe he'll give them to me for free :sarcasm: :naughty:

UPDATE!!!

Car is completely done!!! I'm going this weekend to look it over and make sure it's up to my standards. I'll make supre to bring back some pics.

The bumpers and mirrors will not be mounted since I am going to do those myself. I have to fabricate brackets for the front and rear and I also need to re-align the intercooler to fit inbetween the Do-Luck.

Stay tuned...

Here are the pics I promised. I still have to install the bumpers since I have a lot of front end work to do including realigning the intercooler to fit inside the Do-Luck bumper, running oil lines, etc.

The paint was extremely dusty but looks great! It's a bit more gray than the original color. Let me know what you guys thing. Shaeff will be posting more pics later on.
