don't Jeep Wranglers use an r154 too..?

No, but they use an Aisin transmission with the same transmission bolt pattern. A lot of GM cars do actually. That's why there's bellhousings to bolt R series transmissions to lots of different things (even ecotec)

Hey Greg, nice stuff man! How about a breakdown of clutch components, and anything that had to be special made. Did you make it out with mixing all stock type components with the clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, input shaft bearing, etc, etc.? I'm VERY interested in doing something similar. Thanks in advance for any input you can give!

It's not my conversion Scotty, but going through the thread, it looks like this is a list of items he's used to make it work:

87-92 Supra Turbo R154, yoke, driveshaft and transmission mount
94-00 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota bellhousing, throwout bearing and clutch arm
94-00 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota flywheel
94-00 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota pressure plate
94-00 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota or Jeep 4.0 front bearing cover
94-00 Dodge Dakota slave cylinder
94-00 3.9L V6 Dodge Dakota starter
Advance Adapters Toyota 10.5" clutch disk

Looks like custom parts are the pilot bushing and speedo cable.

He's done an excellent job with the conversion. It also helps to be handy with a welder...

Sorry Greg for not reading a little deeper before getting all excited! lol Thanks for putting all of that together in "short attention span" format for me. I can surely absorb that now! I appreciate your help!

Hey Scotty… If you REALLY want to get ambitious…you can use the same setup to mount…

A Hemi….. :-0

Just use a truck flywheel…

Now THAT will make your putter flutter… Thinkin' about a Supra swap?
