I just bought some aftermarket seats for my car and was wondering if i can use the factory seat brackets or if i have to get some new ones, if so where from?

don't do homemade, and dont reuse the stockers (even if the seats would work). The bracket is a integral part of the restraint system, and unless you WANT to move all over the place in an accident, i'd use ones made properly for the seats you are buying (or a good universal kit, if there is such a thing).
