stock coils, or stock ignitor? I know alot of people replace the ignitor with the AEM to get rid of multiplex.

edit: nvm, i see your not using the stock ignitor. have you tried the 2jzge coils?

I'm using the is300 coils, they fit in the plug valley of the 7M and wire up just like stock.

my problem is the stock ignitor, just waiting on a DH61 to change it out.

Isnt that a batch fire type of coil?

I would like coils that are smart (no need for ignitors) and are either COP or CNP.
When it comes to heat I think a CNP setup would be better since it can be placed under the intake manifold for example.

Does the 2JZ-GTE coils require ignitors? Do they fit in the 7M? Is it possible to install sparkplug wires on the to make them CNP?

they are direct replacements for the stock 7M coils, so yes they still need the ignitor.

if you want smart coils, maybe look at the LS coils? I think they have a built in ignitor. I run an AEM v1 which means I'm stuck with batch fire (it only has 5 ignition outputs), so I haven't looked that much into other options.

If you have a standalone. go with 1ZZ coils. they are like $30 each. and can run a 30+ spark plug gap and 30+psi with no need for a DLI. and built in ignitors.

Albert: Are those a direct fit? Are they supported by the center cover? How are you mounting them?

Enraged: Have you thought about how to mount them? Or are you going to use them with IS300 coil boots and use them as COP?

No. I am making a custom center cover for them to sit on.

how would you wire those into the ecu? im going to be running stinger. JW how this would all go together. These seem like a good idea from what you say
