Friends supra mk 3, its a 87 model. As we bought the car, the speedometer was not working. Could it be the actual speedometer or something to do with the transmission speed sensor?

Another question, my friends power doors are kinda screwed up. They work and everything but when u lock the doors, then shut them, the locks automatically go to open again. So my friend has to manually lock the doors with the keys!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

On 1986 and 1987 MK3's you have to hold up the handles when you lock the doors, they did away with that on 88 models, there's nothing wrong with the car.

The speedometer in the MK3 is a mechanical unit, not electronic, there is a spinning cable that runs from the transmission to the speedometer in the car, chances are it has broken. It is 2 pieces, and for both pieces brand new from Toyota, it's about $80, I'd go that route.

Good luck.
