Manual Boost Controller relocation

Just like it says:

Can I extend the lines that plumb into the mbc and put the mbc into the cabin, so I don't have to get out and pop the hood to adjust it and all that? I don't recall ever hearing anything on this subject, and a search turned up no useful info.

the shorter you have the hoses the better so you dont get spiking issues. i personally wouldnt run them ALL the way in the cabin, but you're welcome to try and see for the results.. when i had my 7M i ran the lines just long enough so i can easily reach the MBC without trouble.

Around
the longer the lines, the more likely you are to get boost spikes. mine are just long enough to reach comfortably.

To reach comfortably from inside the car, as in a seated position? If so, where did you mount the controller? Sorry guys, but I'm still a newbie to this turbo stuff.

Well heres a pic of where mine is in the cabin. Where the cig lighter used to be. I have mega long lines. Its a Blitz MBC. Now mine does spike BUT im not sure weather it cause the MBC is an old heap of crap (have a new one in bedroom) or cause the lines are so long?

Try using tubes rather than vac hoses where you can for longer runs. Metal or hard plastic tubes will improve both the speed of the response and the amount of boost or vacuum seen at the far end of the run. Soft and squishy hoses over long distances make for sluggish MBC valve and wastegate response, and the flexing along the way reduces peak pressure and creates more ideal conditions for spiking.

Same principle as why you want hardpipes over stock rubber intake hoses...

I come from a land down under
Way back when I had my 240z Datsun I mounted mine on the trans tunnel between the seats.

The Shiny Silver knob is the brake balance and the Boost controller is a black knob closer to the drivers seat.

I plumbed it all with hardlines as the guys have already mentioned Rubber is bad for this application unless the lines are short.
