Well bored at work again and for some odd reason intake manifolds poped up in my head. I'm a good welder, I can get unlimited aluminum plates at work as thick or thin as I want. And I have use of all the metal working tools I'd need just have to use them on my own time. So where can I go to learn in depth about intake manifold, i.e. how to get optimum flow, and what is too big/too little. I know I could make one, but if I do I want to know my shit, so at least it's an improvement over stock, and not a tin can with intake runners welded to it.

Maximum Boost, designing and testing turbocharger systems by Corky Bell.
you can find that on amazon.com. has an entire chapter on intake manifolds. also has whole chapters on selecting a turbo, exaust mani's, exaust systems, efi, carberation, boost controlls, events in the chamber, intercooling, and so on. it's my bible on anything related to turbos and engines. costs about $40 and is worth every penny.
