maft question. (1st gen)

Guys i just got a question on fuel or boost cut. Im running 550cc injectors and the first gen maft with the 3in. 57 trim ct, walbro 255 ect. Im running 11psi right now because if i turn it up at all it just blows fuel cut. I was under the impression that running with the 550s would raise the threshold. I feel like im missing some important piece. Ive come so far and spent so much but im no better than an over boosted stocker. Can you guys throw some info my way, guide me plz.

I know that my fuel cut raised when I went to 560's.
Did you set the proper injector size into the maft? (I assume that you did).
You *can* set a frequency clamp, but I never had any luck with that.

Yeah i have it stable at around 12 with the occasional spike to 14 under quick spool but settles back to 13.

I don't think that boost is too far off the mark, though. Maybe a max of 16psi.
But my understanding is that if you can squeeze ~12psi out of a stock setup, you should be able to bump it up about 25% when using 550 injectors.
Have you tried the frequency clamp? Also, are you running in suck through or blow thru? My setup was blow thru, and I could get about 16psi.

Sorry let me clarify. 12 to 14 are my AFRs my boost is set at 11psi . I cant go any higher than that even with 550s.

Well, as long as fuel pressure is good and injector size was entered correctly, id have to say that you have a boost leak.
