This company builds mass air unit for all cars like ours I dont know if anybody here on sm has heard of them, there website is http://www.abacoperformance.com, I dont know alot about maft pro but i heard its a pita sometimes and this other company all they require is that you send your mass air and they will duplicated and flow and making sure its a plug and play deal with our ecm also software can be download from there website, to tune aswell you can raise the voltage or lower it depending on your fuel cut so if there is a maftpro gurue out there please chime in and give me some input, the pricing is little cheaper about 550.00 or so.

Not too bad to install, turbo's are easier to tune than NA's. Lots of info here on it, check the stickies in the Piggyback section.

Personally, I'd say it depends.

If you want to invest your time and money in a system that's been proven to work, buy the MAFT Pro.

If you enjoy being the leading edge guy trying out new tech, we can always use another system that works for the Supra, so by all means be the initial tester, and report back on how well it works for you.

actually very simple, you really dont use all the wires in the harness...plus you can go speed density and ditch the afm

Holy hell $550!!!!Lets see if you want to go the AFM route suprasport carries a much cheaper LIPP alternative. My suggestion is the maft-pro for more bang for the buck option, also and getting rid of the afm eye sore in the engine bay is also a plus.

*edit after checking maft pro + every thing you need for speed density is a cheaper option with zero turn around time.

Sorry for the high jack, but does anybody make a plug and play harness for the maft pro?

The Maft pro is a piggy back so there is no plug and play harness. You need to do the wiring yourself. It is not that difficult and all the documentation on how to wire it is available.

The guys over at fullthrottletech continue to spend many hours in tweaking the maft pro. Check out their site and also the maft pro stickies on this forum.

If i go maft pro do i have to take out my safc ?

Yes you take the safc out...maftpro is similar to it but it has better fine tuning as far as tps response,pt tracking, afr tracking etc

Now, I'm not going to go all fanboy like these other guys. I just think that it needs to be said that the MAFT Pro is the greatest and absolute BEST product in existence and if you don't buy one I WILL KILL YOU!

There's no reason a PnP harness couldn't be made, lack of source for plugs is the real obstacle. Besides, it's not too hard to wire in.

Sure, you can run the MAFT Pro with an SAFC... you would wire in the SAFC in between the MAFT Pro and the TCCS. I just have no idea why you would want to.

If you're that intimidated by the MAFT Pro, want to change over to a different type of meter and yet want something proven then I'd suggest looking into the original MAF Translator. Very easy to install, let's you run a GM MAF and IF your MAF dies you can get a replacement EASILY! ;)

MAFT - $199 http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=050SUPRA3MAFT
3.5" GM MAF - $119 http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/itemdesc.asp+ic+02225170711+eq+02235inchmaf+Tp+

I just wish i didnt have to cut into my harness, does any one make a jumper harness?

It's been said twice.... no. EDIT: see below, 89+ is available for the GTE. Thanks comadreha for the info.

You could pay me to make you one though... send me the harness plugs from an engine harness and an ECU I can mutilate for its plugs along with [strike]$50[/strike] $100 (just thinking about how many individual wires would have to be soldered makes me cringe) and I'll build one just for you. You'd also have to provide the pigtail which comes with the MAFT Pro.
