ever since i finish my 2jz swap i always wonder about lsx family swap,, so i bought this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYP-2046/
so to start another swap, i pick up a 2002 5.3 lm7.
i don't want to drag around my 5.3 vortec lm7(iron block) so hopefully this will be a lot easier to maneuver. anyone interest in ls1 swap mount for mk3 in near future, i plan on making couple set to recoup some money back than sell the mock up plastic engine. in the mean time anyone is there any one make ls1 swap for our car,, i have search google for months with no result.. to be honest i would rather buy from someone than build it cause i don't have time due to dental school

I made a set of pre 89 ones along with an adaptor to suit an a340e trans and a bashguard/brace.

did you have to modify the crossmember

lmk if you try them and how they work, they look pretty good

to anyone that has done an lsx swap, what manual trans did you guys use? t56?

Front crossmember or one at the Trans?...

Neither I made it all a bolt in job, the bash guard/brace replaces the tubular brace behind the pan as the F Body pan is in the way, also the Chev pan is Cast Aluminium so I figured a good 5mm thick 5083 guard would save the engine.
(It's all for sale if anyone wants it...pm me)

depending on how much power you want to put through a good r 154 would suffice, you can find an adapter here http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kit_gmax15.htm

you need a gm bellhousing and pressure plate, and a toyota clutch to fit the r154. I plan to do the swap sometime in the next year with an ls1

this will let you use your stock tran mount location and drive shaft, or a toyota one piece drive shaft to simplify the swap and reduce cost.

I'm interested in ideas for fitment of exhaust on an N/A LSx swap, while you're turbo swap was amazing IJ it's well beyond the budget i have for mine atm i'm sure

you would of course need the gm bell housing and clutch fork, and so forth but i plan to run about 500 hp with my ls1 swap having had the r154 rebuilt and having replaced the carrier bearing already this seems like the way to go for me. what are you wanting for the 87 shell, and what state are you located in?

Understandable, I wouldn't go Turbo again, either a healthy NA LS or a Blown one in a Mk3 would be a bundleOjoy for sure :D

I still have the LS>a340e adaptor kit I built here if anyone is interested drop me a PM.
