87 Turbo with 17x8 G35 wheels w/35mm offset 225/55-17 tires, all stock TEMS suspension.

According to online tire calculator:

The 225/55-17's vary from stock: 17in Tire Difference
Sidewall Height: .44 inch taller than stock
Section Width: Same as stock
Overall Diameter: 1.88in more than stock
Circumference: 5.93in more than stock
Revs per mile: -57 than stock

Do you think the tires are making this happen?

I get quite a bit of "wiggle" in the rear end with any sudden moves of the steering wheel, to the point I'm concerned about control. I've recently had it up on a lift and don't have any major movement in any bushings. I realize the car is 22 years old (126k miles) , but does anyone else experience this?

If the Lift lifts by the body you may have missed any "play" in the bushes, there is a spherical bearing in the Upright that can cause what you describe, Tires wouldn't make this happen unless they're seriously underinflated.

I've verified tire pressures so I'm going to tsrm to view suspension. Is what you speak of in this attached file?

Had a similar issue with my 87T once and found taht one of the bolts holding the diff, was missing. Junkyard or Toyota were my only choices. I think I got it from Toyota and is was kinda expensive (for just a bolt anyways... may about $10, can't remember now).

Have you checked the sub frame bolt torque? Weird alignment settings can make that happen too. Like rear tow out or positive camber.

I'll try getting it back up and checking those bolts and bushings. Glad to know it sounds sort of common...it's a handful at speed in a corner!
