So last night i was hanging out with some people at the local hangout and i see this 99-02 trans am pull up. I've seen him around before and have talked to him a little bit, but this time he raced me. He tells me hes all stock except for an exhaust and i didnt buy that at all. we get to the road and go from a 10 roll. I missed second and it was over immediately. Second race I tell him were going from a 30 roll. It was even until 4th then he got up on me by 2 car lengths. We get back and he informs me he was bull shitting about being stock except for an exhaust. He says he has an intake, aftermarket headers, and i think he said something about being bored ".030. I told him i knew he had something else besides an exhaust. I got his number and told him when i have a 3" dp, test pipe, and 4" catback. Not too bad though for a basically stock supra except an intake, bov, and megan racing muffler. I'll get videos of the next race. I guess the minivan and three trucks of people didn't get a video.

LS1 is a beautiful thing, just like the 2J :) Just exhaust on your car is not going to help against a V8 like that, you need some more mods but good fun all and all

Why do you need a guage? You should know the puurring sound of a 7m @6000 rpm.. :icon_razz

Nice run though!

its hard to hear my car because the trans am is so loud! And i got the 4" exhaust because i am eventually getting a bigger turbo and dont want to buy a 3" if im going to get a 4" anyway.

it may benefit you to leave it off and learn where to shift from the motor,,, the closer you are with your car, the better. being a part of your car is just as important as the mods that it has.

wrong, though a 4" exhaust on a stock turbo is pointless

if backpressure is greater than boost you lose volumetric efficiency which is NOT good. You want crossover where boost is higher than backpressure which means higher VE. If you have to much backpressure you have reversion where the exhaust gets pumped back into the engine during overlap. This makes your internals hot and can cause detonation and out of control combustion.
