Well done. My wife is a photographer, I know what it takes to get decent shots of lightning, because I've stood next to her wielding the umbrella for hours on end! She did end up with a prize winning photo, though, so I guess it was worth it.

That one with the ball light in the cloud directly above the car could win something, I bet.

Thanks everyone!

yeah I got mauled by mosquitos for about an hour trying to get these pics. I have never really used continuous shoot mode before and it took a little bit to get things right...especially getting the car into an area with somewhat decent lighting, which still wasn't much.

It was nearly constant that night, flashing every few seconds. I set my camera up on a tripod and set it on custom timer, continuous shoot, 8 shot sequence, 1 shot a second @ 200 ISO.

I took nearly 200 pictures... and you see how many came out good, heh.
