Lex AFM question

I have done some searching with no progress. I need a GTE AFM. I was wondering if a 1UZFE AFM will work with the GTE. I noticed on the wiring diagrams that they are wired the same exept the E1 is grounded through the ECM on the GTE and on the Lex its just grounded. Can it work? It would be so much easier and cheaper to find one of those in the bone yard than one for a GTE. Thanks for the help in advance.

The 1UZ AFM is the one that everyone upgrades to IIRC...

The electronics are the same, the housing is different and will cause you to go lean (unless used with larger injectors (550) or tuned with higher fuel pressure)

I understand that the housings are different, I thought though that everyone put the GTE AFM in the LEX housing. I already got a LEX housing for future mods but for now I was wondering if I could use the LEX AFM in the GTE Housing.
