by not having any knock sensor i know that retards your timing but when it retards your timing will it make your boost build up??

By not having knock sensors it going to limit the kind of driving you can do. Once you start building boost it's going to kick back and say no.

For the OP, maybe you should read a general lesson on turbocharger theory. You don't even have to go into heavy tech. Just the basics. It works from the spent heat energy. More load, more heat. Less load, less heat, less boost. So why would less load lead to more boost?
