Alright I guess I'll just start this out with saying I am completely new here, I have been a member for awhile but I've just watched other people's builds. Disclaimer, this build WILL TAKE AWHILE, I'm 17 still in high school which means very limited funds lol, but I still wanted to start this just cause she will be amazing but probably not till this summer, anyway here's how it began. (Beware lots of history, skip to pictures if bored lol I will try to upload as many as possible)

One year ago almost exactly I had been looking for a car to use as a dd but hadn't found the right one. I had always wanted a supra, but didn't really look at any till then, so I started searching craigslist, and found one in Newton ks, the guy said he wanted $2200 and so my dad and I went and checked it out, we took it for a test drive and I was instantly hooked, even for an N/A it was still fast. (notice I've really only driven 4-bangers, not necessarily the best power houses) So it blew me away, and we got it, the guy was the second owner and had barely driven it. We talked the guy down $100 (isn't much but at the time the engine had 170,000) and we took her home. Well spring came around and I started driving her more, and then bad things happened. As a 17 year old guy I may have been a bit abusive, and I ended up having a rod knock by the beginning of summer (worst time of the year for any supra to be out of commission :nono: ), and then she sat, and sat and sat somemore. My baby sat for the rest of the year until about the middle of this past October. We took her down to Oklahoma and bought a replacement engine for her, great news was my dad drove her back ( a 3 hour trip) fine, the bad news is that I got her and then stuff happened... First the top radiator hose broke, and then a fuse went out, thermostat was next, and now I am looking at a BHG. So thats where she is as of now:3d_frown:

So this post will contain the following mods (hopefully to be put on by the middle of summer)

Metal HG
ARP head bolts
Exhaust (no I WILL NOT will not rice her out!)
Replace the saw blades (something simple)
New tires
cams
and I'm sure more later on.
(keep in mind this is an N/A performance parts are, other than the basics, hard to find).

This will all be done on an EXTREMELY TIGHT budget
And plus I'm new to working on my own stuff, I love it, but that doesn't mean I can just go fix whatever I want lol.

I am not being able to upload pics like I want so for now I will attach photos of the day I first got her, and then a link to Photobucket, at least until I can do something about it.

Link to the beast!

replaced thermostat
replaced top radiator hose ( and clamps)
replaced water pump
newer 7mge engine ( I didn't do this lol)

alright pictures are in the order of work.

I just wasn't thinking when I had this engine put in, it was kinda a fast decision....but someday it will be :) right now though I am just going to try and make the car as light as possible and tune it a tiny bit just to get the hang of things :)

ALRIGHT update!
I'm in the slow process of getting a new head gasket kit with ARP head bolts, weather here in kansas sucks and seeing how I don't have a shop its taking a bit lol, funds are very low right now and I am out of a job so this is all taking a little longer then expected, but hey it will get done sometime soon.......hopefully, as soon as I have the gasket pics will be coming!
