just got a mk2

i now have 2 white supras i have my baby my 89 white turbo mk3, that is sadly down for the summer:cry: but will be back next summer with all forged everything, and i can put my aem and my turbo kit on, its at the machine shop rite now and i cant wait:icon_bigg, but any way for the time being I bought a white mk2 and am going to turbo the 5m with all my old stuff, its such a fun little car im shocked at how much i like it, its olny 169 horse or so toyota says, but damn it corners awsome i never liked corners untill now, ill get some pics of my babys up, and this fourm is awsome i just got on celicasupra.com and it sucks i h8 that fourm i wish we had a mk2 section, supramania is the best fourm ive ever been in!

im scared of the head gasket, but i still love it corners before this car i just dint care for not even in the mk3, and i almost wanna take my 7m when it gets back and throw it in my mk2, how do i post pics i cant figure it out, im computor stupid

I disagree. Headgaskets were a problem in them like headgaskets are a problem in any car. I know of a ton of them that make it to 300,000 miles without a problem, when almost every 7M blows the gasket before 150,000.

I don't think the 5M blows the HG anywhere even remotely close to how often a 7M does.

that is only because it's been beaten to death over there. just search on there and you will find all you care to know. a 5mgte can't take that much boost cuz the fuel system sux with a good RRFPR and 4age injectors you can boots the ct26 to 10-12. BUT off boost it will be pig rich. 7m is the way to go in the mk2, $ to $ the 7m is the ticket.

i personaly plan to take the 7m head and place it on the 5m bottom end, i belive the bottom end is just as strong. and that the hp is being held up by the head design,

through a 1.5mm or a 2mm mhg on there lowers the compression a bit, and then run the 7mgte ecu harnes and fuel

now you have a 2.8L mkii turbo that will spank alot of cars.. even at 10psi..

i actully found alot of info on that, i searched alot of the turbo fourm over on celicasupra.com but everybody is saying the 5ms are junk and cant even take 8 lbs of boost, i do wanna run the raising rate fuel press reg but what are 4 age injectors? i saw alot of guys over there running 7mge injectors, but to keep it the rite air fuel through out the rpm range would a safc help that?
