A once in a lifetime opportunity. Just nabbed a PERFECT Supra! Let the jealousy ensue!

1991 Supra Turbo - 5spd - 68,000 original miles
White on Navy Blue cloth. White wheels!
Original owner has maintained it like a dream all these years.

Here's the thing. This is very very special for me. DEEP Supra fan here. I owned a 91 White Turbo with white wheels and sold it over 10 years ago. I owned it for 3 years and put over $10K into mods back in the late 90s. Went to Supras Invade Las Vegas '99 and everything.

LOVE the MK4 and will own one someday, but I still LOVE the MKIII too and I will never sell this one now. Over time, this will become one of the most awesome Supras on this site, with an "Elite" engine bay and all.

My family and friends always ask me when I'm gonna get another Supra. When I saw this, I 'bout fell out of my chair.

Here's a few pics that the current owner took a few weeks ago. I pick it up next week! So jazzed about this!!!

I'd wager a fair sum that a stock engine bay photo would not qualify as "Elite".

Do you have a White 91T?

saw this one for sale a few weeks ago. Very nice car, but the asking price was too high. I also have a white 91 turbo with sunroof, just not as clean as this one looks and automatic. If i remember correctly he still had the window sticker for it.....

Nice fine with low miles, welcome back to a supra :)

I did all most the same thing. Sold my 89 back in 2001, missed it dear, had to but another back in 2008. This one isn't leaving.

Yah he still has the window sticker, which he is giving to me now of course. The asking price was a bit high, but the real value of a Supra like this one is only truly known when one declares what they are willing to pay for it, and I am willing to pay well above the silly blue book value when I compare what this car represents to other cars at the same price. In the long run, one or two thousand smackers here and there ain't gonna make a difference to me down the road, but snatching up this Supra will. I am part of the Supra clan now again. Feels good. Can't wait to pick it up.

Big Plans. Never gonna sell this one if I can help it. Will probably start off pretty slow though. I have other priorities right now and this wasn't one of them. Just couldn't pass it up. I'd say within maybe 2-3 years, I will build it out on a sort of 'no limit budget'. But will retain the stock look, save for rims/tint and stuff like that. I may put custom high end leather in it too. No body kit though. I love the stock Supra look. I will probably stick with White wheels, even if I upgrade to 18s or whatever. It's gonna be awesome, but it's a future vision. For now, keyless entry, cd player, maybe a BOV, maybe an Eibach drop, a turbo timer. You know, basics and creature comforts. The really fun stuff will have to wait a bit. But when it's on, look out! I will easily drop 20 grand or more.

Interesting how the Supra brings people back eh? Hey I just checked out your build thread. Insane bro. What a project. Nice job. You feel like you'll ever be "done"?

Here are some pics of my previous Supra Turbo. I purchased this car in 1998. I knew nothing about Supras. I just really liked it. I bought it for $9,000 with 89,000 miles from a Lexus dealership. Then it began.

Brand new 7M-GTE installed shortly after I purchased it because blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust and the Toyota dealership said the whole engine was toast. Knowing what I know now... I think they just wanted a big engine job and took me for a sucker, which I was.

By the time I sold it in 2001, I had done the following mods:
Akimoto Intake Kit
HKS SSQ Blow off Valve kit
HKS downpipe
Test pipe
HKS dual tip 3" cat back exhaust
Kenwood CD player
Rockford Fosgate sub amp
JL Audio 8" boxed subwoofer (fit nice and snug under the targa top when in its brackets)
Alpine alarm system
Short Shifter mod with Sparco leather shift knob
Eibach Springs Pro-kit
Tokico Illumina II TEMS shocks
Suspension Techniques Sway Bar kit - front and rear
17x8 Focal R3 wheels with the optional Iridium Blue center caps
Nitto NT555 Extreme tires (245 rear, 235 front)
Powerstop slotted rotors
Blue interior dome lights (little blue bulbs)
PIAA blue fog lights (bright white HID light)

Loved this car. I hope you enjoy the pics. Please excuse the poor quality. These were taken pre-digital camera days and scanned onto my pc. :)

My buddy's light blue 1990 Turbo and mine. He ran straight off the downpipe into atmosphere. I eventually sold him my rims.

And then. Craziest thing ever!!! My brother spotted a Supra in San Diego 2 weeks ago and snapped a pic and sent it to my cell. It was mine... 10 years later!!!

This pic was just taken May 2011. It looks the same. How cool is this?

Welcome back into the Supra community.

I'm beyond thrilled and excited for you to get back into the car you desired! :)
I'll also be the first to admit I highly admire your commitment and reasonings to buying the car - regardless of asking price.

- Because you're absolutely right.
At the end of the day, what you choose to pay for a car obviously speaks of personal value that no one else could understand.

But Congrats! It warms my heart to know there are still people out there like yourself
that are willing to pay the price for their perfect Supra; especially as they continue getting older and rustier...

Jeff

*EDIT* WOW. Just read your comment about your brother spotting your old car......10 years later.
That's insane! Almost gave me chills down my back knowing that the car is still well taken care of and driving! :)

Hey thanks man. And by the way... I am going to hunt down my old Supra. My brother described the guy he saw driving it. Sounds like the same guy I sold it to 10 years ago. I was so excited when he sent me that pic. It was the day after I had cut the deal on my new Supra. I couldn't believe it. The timing was ridiculously random after 10 years.

Thanks again Boost Lee.
