Hey there everyone! I've been playing with supras for almost 10 years now on and off. I recently came across an all original 1990 supra turbo targa auto with 92,xxx miles. It had been sitting in someones back yard since the year 2000 lol. i stole the car for 600 bucks, it did not run and the interior was completely shot. I threw in an efi fuse and a fuel pump and she started right up after sitting for about a decade. Luckily for me, i happen to have an 87 parts car with a superb blue interior, so i swapped the dash, seats, center console, pretty much everything over. i drove the car all summer enjoying the stock boost levels lol, replaced a few things here and there such as an CSF race rad, all the coolant lines and some fluid changes. All of a sudden the car started smoking a good amount so hence this teardown. What a thought was just a bhg turned into a motor swap once i found out cylinders 1 and 6 had major pitting. And even luckier for me i happen to have a 3rd motor that was a jdm import. This came out of one of my older supras. I redid the head, changed the stem seals, installed bbc comp springs, and checked all the clearances.

So for this supra it is getting just basically put back together with a few upgrades. My goal with this car is to have a emmisions legal car with makes anywhere from 375-425hp. low 12's would be nice in the 1/4 too. I will be using stock injectors for now, with a fuel lab fpr. I scored a Borg Warner S256 from albert on the forum so i will be using that with an adapter and a precision 39mm wastegate recirculated into the exhaust. The intercooler tubes will all be getting replaced with Samco Sport ones. i have a set of rims and tires i got off this forum also, they are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. It is getting lowered with Eibach springs, new KYB struts and mounts all around. My parts car has a 255 walbro in the tank, ST sway bars, and a full exhaust with an Apexi N1 muffler. It also has an R154 with a new clutch DM full length line, new clutch master and slave. Im torn whether or not i want to keep the auto or toss in the manual. I have a suprastick stand alone trans controller that i could use for the auto but im still not sure what i want to do with a trans. i have some plans for a decent sound system. i also changed every bulb to a white led. im sure im forgetting things but on to pics.

Looks good, and sounds like you have a solid plan for getting the car setup, the turbo adaptor, is that an ebay one? whats the quality like?

yeah its from ebay. the adapter is nice, its cast just like the stock manifold. it actually puts the wastegate on a very slight angle as to flow with the exhaust gasses which is a bonus. i had to grind the manifold for the wastegate hat to fit and i had to trim that portion of the heat shield also. im assuming the wastegate is designed to handle high temps, i think it should be fine, i may wrap that section of the manifold with header wrap or something. yeah that car in the last picture is super nice, not sure whos it is, i came across it at some point. after all this rebuilding, paint is on the wishlist.

this is a pic after i got it and gave it a bath.

ive been gathering some things for the stereo system. a while back i bought some 6.5" speaker pods for the front, and a pioneer double din. i have two older rockford amps that are pretty big in size, one is a 4 channel 400 watt and the other is a 2 channel 600 watt. its going to be fun trying to find a nice place to put them lol. im putting Focal 6.5 components in the front and Focal 5.25 coaxials for the rear. and then i have this MTX 12", it sounds nice and tight for a 12, but im not sure if im going to be using that one just yet. i may decide to make a custom enclosure either in the trunk, or possibly the back seat area. anyways pics!

Damn sorry for the late reply. My wheels are 17x8. I have no clue what the offset is but I've been reading online and I'll try to figure out what it is tomorrow.

pushed the car out of the garage today and degreased more and pressure washed the bay, i've never owned a supra this clean. I honestly can't beleive how clean even the electrical connectors are. I removed a few of the sheilds and painted them black, and i had to spray the battery area also, it looks like a battery may have leaked some fluid over the years. I ordered some 98TT motor mounts and a new trans mount, and tomorrow I'm gonna remove the valve body and send it out to Devin to have him work it over.

i took these pics with my digital camera vs my cell phone before.

figured id update this thread finally, ive been pretty much daily driving the car for a few months now at 10psi. it feels a good deal stronger than stock and the stock auto is handling it just fine so far. just cleaned it up and took some pics, i still have to install the struts and springs and my wheels.
