Bad idea.NashMan;1179958 said:just so you know you can ground a batteir any were in the hatch
Very, very good idea, and exactly how it SHOULD be done in our cars.NashMan said:some people take it over bord and run an extra ground to the block witch is not needed in most case's
Poodles;1180018 said:- Relocation of a battery is dumb on several levels. Namely because we're a hack back car and the trunk isn't seperated from the cabin (toxic fumes). You won't pass tech at a drag strip without a box with a proper vent, and a cutoff switch.
As IJ. and Poodles stated, 1) they don't vent below 15v, and 2) you still need a box to pass tech inspection.bmoss85;1180067 said:cant you use something similiar to an optima battery? they dont need to vent do they?
I never understand why people trust our stock, old, rusting chassis to provide a good, solid main ground from the battery in the trunk, all the way to the engine. A dedicated ground to the engine block is a MUST!FLMK3SUPRA;1180326 said:You might want to make sure Your grounded properly it made the differance with my friend who was going though the same thing you are. To be honest, there is really only one reason I would relocate the battery, and that's if I had a FFIM, but I would try REALLY hard to work around the battery.
Relocating it properly isn't cheap...
