Is It Okay To Change electronics in CPS

Soo here is my situation, I have one Cam Position Sensor which was rebuilt last year with new o-rings and bearings. I believe the electronics are bad in it.
I have another CPS which runs the car fine but is leaking internally. Is it okay to swap the electronic internals from this leaking unit into the rebuilt housing? (of course keeping the air gap within spec)

Perform the checks to verify they are good working pickups.
Swap them over and call it a day.
