Driftmotion also sells IC and piping kits for a reasonable price. There are also a few direct fit stock replacements such as the AMS unit.

Driftmotion essentially is a eBay intercooler.... It's the same as Godspeed if I remember correctly.

Although that being said you don't have to worry about buying from DMccompared to some eBay companies.

I run a DM front mount kit on my 1J also did it on my 7M too

No reason to not go with Driftmotion really,!

Unless you like things that fit.

DM is plug and play I believe... but it depends on your end goals and your budget

As reported here by quite a few, it was a good price but it was the opposite of plug and play.

Not a single kit on the market is "plug and play" because of the very nature of the IC system (there's a reason toyota used so many long flexible tubes...)

I've had 2 Different DM kits although the pipes fit to the car I choose to modify both of my kits to work.

I've also installed the new Dm style 7m kit and it does work but with a bit of imagination.

What are your initial power goals? Our stock intercoolers aren't absolute garbage. If you're aiming to bring the car just under fuel cut with stock electronics/injectors, I honestly don't think it's worth it.

Some consideration has to be given to moron owners, but the pictures taken and posted are pathetic in that regard. I said, based on testimony here, his is the opposite of plug and play.

The AMS one was pretty plug and play with the exception of needing a straight coupler instead of a 90 degree one as the 90 was already welded on.

I have a Ebay IC (31x12x4) and it works great. I bought a separate 2.5" polished aluminum piping kit from CX Racing and did all the cutting and fitting myself. It wasn't all that bad (an afternoon of cutting and fitting) and I was able to route the pipes where I wanted them, not where some kit thinks they should be. I have a T67 sitting atop a T3/T4 adapter, so I could not run my cold pipe over my turbo...I had to "custom" route it. Personally, if I was to do it all over again, I would do the same thing. My son and I plan to 7MGTE swap his '89 and we'll practically do the same with his IC piping. He already has a Ebay IC (31x12x3) waiting to be installed. Here are some raw pics of my install. I've since titanium heat wrapped my cold side pipes and neatly tucked all the under car piping up under a front belly pan/cover. I've also replaced the piece of crap 3" Spectre hoses at each end of my IC with 5 ply silicon CX Racing 3-2.5" reducers.

You can see here all the cold piping is now wrapped:

The DM kit seems to be ok, just be wary of shipping. I paid 24.50 to ship an EGR cooler gasket and ARP head studs....I can only imagine what the intercooler kit costs to ship...
