instructions for replacing the HG

I'm replacing the stock headgasket with a new metal one and I need instructions on how to do it. I know you have to torque down the studs in a certain way to a certain ft/lb.

so if anyone knows exactly what to do that would be awesome.

Thank you very much. and i used the search, but just came up with a bunch of "do you think I have a BHG" threads So I just gave up and asked for myself. again, thank you for the links.

No problem, I agree there are too many BHG threads here...:cry:

Take your time, bag and label every thing(nuts and bolts), Take pics before hand, ask questions and don't take short cuts as they will bite you..

Edit: As for torque specs, I would advise going to at least 80ft/lbs with molly lube. (this is debatable by many here) some say higher depending on your boost plans.. It should say what they recommend in your hardware specs if you use ARP's.

Also, different metal gaskets require special RA surfaces so tell us what gasket your using..

what all do I HAVE to take off? just, everything above the head?

any special order for dismantle???

No, Mine is the torque down pattern that he asked for. The one you have must be the bolt loosening pattern.. page EM-39
