Ok i have come across a sc300 for really cheap.My idea is that i have everything i need laying around in my garage to convert it to a 7mgte 5spd:evil2:. So what kind of probs am i going to run into? And is this even a good idea?

If the engine was missing I'd say go for it, but 2JZ-GE's are cheap.

Different? Ah, LS1 turbo, 1UZ turbo, Carb'd 350 turbo, and just for kicks 22-RE turbo?

NA-T on the 2JZ would probably be the most effective, other than that I like the 1UZ turbo idea. The hareness is basically the same, so its plug and play for the most part.

It can be done, it's the same as a 7M -> 2J swap but in reverse..

The 2J would be better anyway, but if you wanna get rid of it, I'll take it..

Also depends on what 5 speed you want to use, they came with W58's but 1JZ's came with R154's and all you'd probably need is the correct driveshaft, shifter extender, etc...

I kinda always had in the back of my head that I'd do this to a Mk4 if I ever came across the money. Not a problem I have to worry about, but it'd be good for kicks.

Well here is the big plan. The total idea of all is to put a 1uz-fe in the pos. the 7m in the sc and put the 2jzg in a 87 cressida that i can get for fixing my neighbors tractor. Well at lest that what im kicking around.

After I swap the 1j into the Mistress, I'm thinking of getting a 90s toy and swapping in the 18r.
My old boss did a rwd swap on a pt cruiser and threw in a tri-power 365(iirc)...bad ass.
