I have a problem with my 7mge

I believe i have a spun bearing, When i changed my oil metallic flakes was in my oil and there a knock from 2500-3500rpm. I was wondering what would happen if i just changed the one bearing? i stop driving the car about 140miles after i heard the knocking, but it was everyday driving.
This is for my 91 Cressida 7mge

how many miles you have when i got that knock my internals fell apart wrist pins and all it was not pretty:3d_frown:

My car only has 70k and the HG and timing belt was replaced by the previous owner. there is also noise from the pilot bearing. I took off number 4 spark plug wire and the knock just went away.

If you have spun a bearing the crank would probably need turned, new bearing wouldn't last long.

I spun a bearing once.
Had to pry it off the crank.
But after buffing off the bearing residue, the crank journal was fine,
just the rod was fargged up.......

But if your in there, just replace all the bearings.
The others can't be far behind..............

I guess I wasn't that lucky George, 3 times and everytime the crank had to be turned

But yeah, if your going that far to replace 1 do them all.
