how to ID if shocks are TEMS or not?

i have an 89 i'm fixing up from a rod knock, and the parts car that is donating the motor has tems.

my car has the buttons in the console, but no tems caps or anything.

is there a way to tell if i have tems shocks without the caps being there?

also there are kyb replacement tems shocks, correct?

KYB does not make TEMS replacement shocks. Tokico does though.

If you look at the top of the shock in the center of the mount, where the upper bolt goes, there will be a hole with a small rectangular rod in it. That's the dampener adjustment rod for the tems shocks. If there is no hole and it's just a normal bolt then they are non-tems.
