I'm trying to figure out how to take the wires/pins out of a Toyota gauge cluster connector. Are there some tips/tricks you wiring gurus have for this procedure? I'll snap a pic right now of the actual connector; it's soldered the a pc board, not a lose wiring harness style connector.

Hope these will do :). I just want to completely replace the wires instead of using the spliced wires I have there (you can see the splices/shrink tubed connections)

If you want to de-solder the current wires and solder in some news ones it is a pretty simple task. Go to radio shack and buy some copper strap looking stuff, its made to remove solder from joints. You heat up the solder and bring in the strap and it gets sucked right out :)

They solder the wires into those plastic connectors? Or is it soldered into the board through those connectors which sort of keep the wires lined up and help stop breaking?
