How much gear oil does a m/t hold

Does any know how much gear oil does a stock manuel tranny hold. And can i full it up from the shifter knod insted of the fill holw and when do i stop if i do.
Car is a 90 supra.

And yes you can fill through the shifter hole.And yes you can fill through the shifter hole.[/QUOTE] There is a plug on the side of the Tranny. Fill the tranny up until the fluid weeps out of that hole. Make sure you do this on a level area.

i gotta say mine took like 1/2-3/4 litre extra than what the TSRM called for in a W58(86.5). was leve ground, had to drive another 30minutes to get another litre:nono:


anyone else get this or was my 'level' surface not level?

u might have leak some where, u experiencing any shift play or weird sounds

if it leaked that much, i think i'd notice when I was changing the oil
