as far as pressure goes, I am seeing ~50psi @ 3k rpm when it is cold in the morning, and it drops to around 40 when it is warmed up. At idle it is just south of the 20psi line, and then as best as I can tell it falls to around 10-15 when it is warm.

i thought the only difference between the N/A block and Turbo block was:

lack of oil squirters
pistons/compression ratio
and maybe a few fittings for oil lines and whatnot.

i didnt think that an N/A block would affect oil pressure... unless the N/A oilpump pushes more oil?

oh yeah, i have always run 6 quarts of oil, both in my N/A motor and in my Turbo motor.

by block i meant the NA oil filter block...which doesnt have the gay relief spring and oil cooler lines etc...

I do Mobil 1 15w50 and have been more than pleased with the results. @ Cold idle i see just a touch over 20psi of pressure. At warm idle its just under 20psi @ 3k in 5th i see about 60psi.

i think if you wanted you could try to move up to the 20w50 and see if it gives you a few more psi and maybe some btter "reaction" to acceleration...

however from what you said you seem to be fine...
