How do you fell about buying parts off Ebay for your MK3?

I read in other post you wrote you have 500 dollars to spend, why dont you go N/A-T? you can get a nice ct26 for 200, exhaust manifold for 60 and save the rest for the downpipe, i can guarantee you is something you will never regret. Much better than a noisy exhaust. You wont get much N/A. (my advice)

You can get your header on ebay, at least turbo headers are pretty good.

This is exactly how I feel. Its a shame the way the automotive industry is turning and its up to us to keep it afloat. What would you do if one day you wanted to buy a HKS or KN air filter and they were no where to be found because they have been replaced with spectres or worse?

It all depends on what you buy really. That and the person you buy it from. I've bought a few things and had no trouble.

so i got a qoute from a shop today they told me a new CAT and Muffler with 2.5" piping would be around 325 but if i go Magnaflow or flowmaster it would be 400...

I thouhgt this was fair but flowmaster on a Supra ...

And i am replacing the exhaust because the stock one is leaking and i do not plan on building this car much keeping it N/A nothing more then just BPU(I do want it to sound good)and in about 6months buying a Turbo Supra so then i can use this one for a DD while i work on the other.

And as far as rust goes i live in Tucson Arizona we do not know what rust is lol

But i do want to do this right but i don't have alot of money or do i want to spend 1k on exhaust on a car i am using as a DD.

As far as NA/T for 500 bucks i do not think thats very possible and be reliable lol

Well if you're gonna keep it NA I'd say get a pacesetter kit with the header.

i like buying things off of ebay.

It all depends on WHAT your buying.

I've had great deals on genuine parts from ebay.

I've also gotten ebay type brand items but never for something important IE: AFPR or such.

I looked it up on ebay canada so thats why its giving you that price. I gave you the american price.

i love ebay, you just gotta make sure you're gettin a decent part not some POS.

for instance, i just ordered 2 digital LED gauges oil press, and water temp for $66 shipped for both. they may be cheap, but if i dont try em out i'll never know.

The cat you posted is a weld in, it will work but the kit uses a bolt on cat so it would mean some modification. It looks like it could accept the stock cat but idk for sure.

i think my stock cat is bad but i am not sure. so the kit you posted and the stock exhaust on the supra is bolt on?
