The pioneer DEH-P980BT and DEH-P880PRS head units have 24-bit Burr-Brown D/A converters, which is top notch for sound quality. Unfortunately these models don't have the USB hard drive support that the lower models do, and the lower models use Yes (8fs/16-bit) D/A converters. ARGH!
Anyone know when the 2008 models come out? Hopefully they will smarten up and combine these features, so we don't have to compromise.
Any other opinions? Looking for a super-high quality head unit that can support a LARGE hard drive filled with uncompressed WAV files. (Alpine is MP3 only)
