Well guys I got the 1JZ started today using the base map that Aaron gave me for the stinger. The only problem I am having so far is that my car idles at 2500 rpm. Any idea what is causing this?

The stock IAC is probably part-way open.

The Stinger won't run that type of IAC directly, so unless you want to convert it to a 2-wire type, you'll need to block it off and set the idle with the idle stop screw.

we simply left it unplugged on the 1jz/stinger car here at the shop and it idles at 800 all day,(with the screw adjusted mind you).

Yep, stock 1J ISCV is a normally open switch. Just get creative with it. Go to a powder coating shop and ask if they have any covers in that size.

Well I tried unplugging the ISCV and it still idles high. Is there any way to close it? Can I apply voltage the one of the ISCV plugs and get the valve to close? My other option is to make the block off plate but would prefer to try and close it first.
