HELP!! No throttle at all need help

Have a 87 with the stock 7mgte just had the motor rebuilt and when fired up and try to give it some gas nothing happens. Everything should be hooked, little puzzled please help

The car runs normally? if so check the throttle cable is there any resistance on the pedal or is it just free?

The car ran before the rebuild, but the person we bought it from spun a rod bearing. But yes when pushed on the peddle felt normal. When we do start it it'll run for like 2 seconds then it just dies out like no more gas and since we can't give it any gas just craps out and dies.

double check all connections and plugs then go with the old fashion basics air,fuel and spark you gotta know how to trouble shoot or your screwed and a more detailed description of your problem helps a lot can't just say i put the key in my car and turned it and won't start lmao just saying!
