Help me ID this turbo. *compressor pics*

i thought this turbo was one thing. then i measured it and thought it was a bigger/better version of that one thing. then i found more specs on that bigger/better version and my measurements are not the same. my measurements are bigger than the bigger/better version i thought it was... but what the hell is it really???

i know its a custom unit since this combination isnt offer from the manufacturer... but at least help me narrow this down.

My first thought is a GT4202 (with the 102mm exducer) but I believe they are a 75mm inducer, not 76...

Ah... maybe a GT45-7602R - 76.7mm inducer, 102.3mm exducer.

I think you're right dave but then again I think some one has put a custom wheel on this unit.

I would love to see this from the side and what the feed and return ports look like....

Oh and a snap of the turbine wheel.

if you look REALLY close, there is a "17" cast into the inlet port nearest the DP flange.

heres a horrible pic of the exhaust wheel i took w/ my phone. is that good enough? or do i actually have to take the housing off and such? cuz its a bitch getting that thing off!

lol... i thought it was a T88 when i bought it. thats what i was told by my old roommate who traded it to me to cover $400 worth of rent ;) .

then the hotside threw me off. T88's dont come in a 17cm housing. its a TD07 housing. but then i wondered, how the hell is it a T78 with a 76mm wheel?! so then i decided it was a hybrid T87 or some shit. if it was a real T88 with a 76mm wheel, it "SHOULD" be a 38GK model since an off-the-shelf T88 is a 69mm. however, the 38GK wheel is only 95mm on the compressor Exducer as i found out the other day. plus, w/ a compressor wheel that big, it should have the "H" option, making it a T88H-38GK or something. but you cant put the "H" exhaust wheel in a 17cm housing.

i thought it was a GT4202 wheel but, again, that has a 75mm compressor inducer. is it a Turbonetics/Garrett T76 wheel?

if it is, its rated at like 95 lb/min with a 3.2PR. i was thinking id do about 600rwhp on pump gas and 18psi... and then let it eat on straight C16 or Import and about 36psi... but 36psi was when i thought it was a 38GK wheel. but now, i dont think that wheel should go much further than 32psi. how weak is that shit?!

anyone want to buy a custom turbo...? lol
