Help me decide 2JZ or 7M

If I had a turbo car to begin with, it would have been a built motor for me. I just did not feel like tracking everything down for a 89.5 na > turbo swap. I opted for the 1jz, as it came with everything, and I didn't know if I could pull off a 2jz swap.

Having driven all motors BPU (I, E, Dp), I have to say that they all feel different feel and power range, and that everyone should decide on their own.

One day, I will be the proud owner of a MKII 1uz turbo, but until then, a single turbo 1jz will hold me over.

i havent even seen a dyno sheet yet of a 1000+hp 7m just people that say they have it.

This "recipe" is generally going to look very similar between the two motors assuming we're fully building the two to reliably withstand all that power and then some.

Biggest difference?
The 2JZ will get you there a little bit easier simply because some of the downfalls to 7M's were taken care of with 2JZ. So...Less barriers in the way, if you will...
But 7M's can and have gone beyond the 1,000+hp marker. :)

Same as the 2jz, built motor, lots of fuel, big turbo w/ lots of boost and more likely than not, some spray. Dont forget the TONS of tuning needed to make it bulletproof.
