So I'm trying to install my flowtested Nippon Denso 550's (low impedence off a rx-7 Turbo), but there's no room for the clips. Maybe the O-rings are too big, but I used the ones that came in the OEM Gasket set. The OEM fuel rail sits right against where the clips go in.

I know alot of people on this forum use or have used these same injectors. What am I doing wrong?

I've included some crappy pics taken at different angles to give you an idea of how the injectors currently sit.

The fuel rail is bolted all the way down with the factory spacers in place. There is no up and down play on any of the injectors, but I can still twist them side to side.

when i recieved my PTE injectors, they were a bit long so included were 3 washers to shim the fuel rail. I had that exact same problem until i used the washers.

the injector grommet in the head looks a little wonky in that 3rd pic. that wont have anything to do w/ clearance tho. id pull the rail back off (since you have to anyway) and compare the length one of these injectors to stock. if they are indeed longer, then add shims the same thickness to space the rail out further.

and like derk said, we have to do the same thing w/ pte injectors because of the length difference.
