help finding rings

I am doing a rebuild on a stock 7mgte. It only had 10k miles when it spun a bearing. The pistons in it are 20 over NPR stock replacement pistons. Any idea where I can find some decent 20 over rings? I couldn't find NPR rings to save my life so I ordered an ITM engine components ring set from rock auto. As I was spreading the first compression ring for install, it snapped in half. Figures. Any other brands someone would recommend? Or does anybody know where to find 20 over NPR rings?

Have you tried Aaron at dm since he sells them?

Also you prolly spread the ring too far for it to break. They only need be spread slightly.

Yea I called him. He said he didn't think he had any but to call him again monday and he would see if he had them or if he could source them out. I had hardly spread the ring at all when it snapped...wasn't spread far enough to install. The material they were made of felt cheap. Who knows.
