I experienced a large voltage spike due to a faulty voltage regulator ona remanufactured alternator. As a result, I have the following problems.
- The horns blare constant as long as the battery is connected.
- The headlight motors are inoperable, stuck in the up position
- The headlight switch now works in reverse polarity IE on=off, off=on
I have tested the following items either by replacing them with known working units or continuity testing via the TSRM.
-Horn Relay -replaced
-Headlamp retractor control -replaced
-Headlamp relay -replaced
-Combination switch -continuity test
-All fusible links and fuses in engine compartment and driver kick panel - continuity test
None of these things have solved any of my problems. I am going on a week here and I could really use some help! I am tired of getting rides everywhere while I try to figure out what is wrong...
Please if you have any ideas they would be appreciated!
