Got the Diff in, but...

I finally got the diff installed, but realized once I got it in that it didn't have the rear top two studs in it to mount the nuts to. For now there is nothing there. Can I use two bolts instead, since the diff is threaded? Is it safe to drive for the time being without those?

I have to mention, quite a difficult job doing this by yourself with one jack and jackstands in your garage!

Thanks.

i would pickup two studs if you don't have any spares. thread them in to you diff with locktite. then wait about a half hour and torque the nuts down.

do it asap too. even though with the four bottem bolts its in there pretty good.

Couldn't a bolt do the same job? Does anyone know specs of a bolt that would work there? Length, thread specs, etc? I don't want to half-ass it, but I also don't want to have to drop the diff again. And it seems logical that a bolt would do an equal job of holding the diff in, right?

Thanks.
