Just heard about this from a member on another forum I frequent -

There was a natural gas explosion at a power plant under construction in Middletown, Ct at about 11:19 AM today. News is still incomplete, but the latest numbers indicate 5 killed and a dozen injured. I live 16 miles away as the crow flies, and the explosion shook things at home. Actually moved TVs on tables, rattled windows and my nephew who was hiking in a local park says people near him were afraid because the trees could be seen shaking for the maybe 3 second long blast. A lot of people will not be watching the game tonight as there are many folks working the scene. My sympathies go out to the families who lost a breadwinner today. No word yet whether any women were among the dead and injured, but construction work today is not all men anymore.

Link to an article about it

Don't know if we have any members in that area - but evidently it was a big explosion. I hope our CT members are all ok!
