91 Turbo with A340E, about 23 mph on a tank. Of course, mileage will vary greatly with how you drive. City is a little lower than highway. All of my old 7MGE's also picked up about 22-24 mpg, on a tank. Always mostly stock, never changed ratios.

The tank is 18.5 gallons, all of them. A dozen years ago when I ran it out to find out, it only took 18.1 gallons. Fuel pump takes up some space.

year:87-91
transmission:W58, A340E
~rear end gear (other than stock):
mods (be detailed, turbo, inj, exhaust, etc.):Exhaust, downpipe, FIPK
type of driving seen:all
average miles per tank:360-380 average miles per gal:
average capacity of tank:? all tanks are 18.5, average amount of fillup? becuase the light should come on just above the E, and take about 15.5 gallons. In other words, it should come on with 3 gallons left. Variations come from the wiper on the sending unit.

Before the rear end swap I was getting 26 highway just cruising. (Its not really hard at all to stay off the throttle guys...) Now after the swap I don't know for sure. BTW the tank capacity is 18.5 but that has to be way after you see the gas light since the most I have seen was 16.8 on a fill.

89T R154 5 spd. was 3.73 now 4.30 rear end gears.

My car is not running too well right now. Boost leak, vacuum leak, will be fixed next week. I get about 10-13city, 15-18highway. I have the supermonitor on, that's how I know.

Hopefully that will improve one I fix all the little issues.

I plan to get a wideband soon and go maft-pro within 5-6 months as well.

I get somewhere in the upper teens to 20's. I personally don't care what the gas mileage is... she is my Baby (my weekend car). Like the previous poster said... if you care about mileage, you're buying the wrong car... I drive a Jetta for work. Once a week with the best is worth a lot more than everyday with just another car.
