I come from a land down under
Super Glue and fishing line for valve jobs where you drop the valve into the cylinder

a strong crank to stop the block flexing

just a few of the genius gems I've learnt today...

Oh, and the little adapters to make the gearwrenches into tiny ratchets, ONLY way to do the EGR cooler with the engine in the car (flex head + adapter).

Oh, and turbo removal becomes a 15 minute job instead of an hour+

those lower bolts on the turbo where a pita grab a gearwrench problem solved.

never needed to remove the cooler but I bet its a snap with their setups. Napa auto parts still sell them but lately I been seeing gearwrench alot at sears. they got some jumbo sized stuff.

Gear Wrenches... and the little nut drivers that go in the baxed end of them so they turn into very shallow welled ratchet/sockets. They are sooo effing handy.

You did forget the most important tool of them all!

ICE COLD BEER!

There are many varieties of this tool, some work better than others. Youll just have to try many different kinds to find what works best for you.

An air compressor with an impact gun preferably 500+ ft/lbs of torque and an air ratchet.

If you have a 7m, you'll need a compression tester at some point.

you can never have too many socket extensions, pliers, or screwdrivers.

I have the double ended setup (who the fuck needs another open ended wrench?) so I can carry less. The flex head ones my bro has...
