I am wondering if it will be safe to run an upgraded Walbro with the stock 440 injectors. I am assuming it would safe with the use of a fpr. Am I wrong?

wow you have a lot to think about

I would do a search for Lex / 550's first, then walbro fuel pump, then J-tube / AFPR, then SAFC that'll answer all your questions.
