Fuel gauge help

I tried searching on this forum for this question but couldn't find it.

I put an aftermarket fuel gauge on the supra, I believe I tapped the wrong fuel gauge wire. I was seeing if anyone knew what color wire from the old cluster was the right fuel sender wire. The gauge I have can be manually calibrated so once I find the right wire I can calibrate it right. Thanks!

Thanks Hvyman, so it looks like it might be the blue wire with red tracer. I believe that's what I tapped into. I'll have to look into that more when I get the car back.

I have the factory wiring diagram for 1986.5 supra, I notice the wire color is some places different from other years. I hope the picture helps, let me know if you need more pics.


L-R= Light Blue with red stripe
R=Red
BR=Brown
LG= light Green

Thanks! Once I get the car back I'll have to take a look at it again. I'll post up what I find
