Front Upper Control Arms problem

Hey,

Trying to tighten the upper control arm ball joint, but after you get to a certain point the bolt starts to spin inside the ball joint.... how do you guys tighten it?

that means the balljoint is shot time to get a new one

Take a pry bar and push the control arm up, like your trying to pop it out, after you get pressure that way, hit the nut with a 1/2 impact a few times, dont just keep holding the trigger, just use short bursts a litlle at a time until it snugs up, then torque it. First make sure your threads are clean and lubed and not crossed, that helps immensely.

And I unfortunatelly dont have access to power tools, just doing it in my garage =(

mhhh i dont know then my old one had tha problume i replaced it and had no problume

you need to put pressure on it while you tighten the bolt. i just used one hand to push down on it and that was enough to keep it from spinning.

Use an impact wrench until the nut bottoms out. If you do not have air-tools try putting pressure on the joint like others have said.
