fogs not working after h.i.d install.... help.

hi all, i recently installed hid lights on my mk3 but now my fogs are not working wtf? i did not mess with them at all. i have no idea where to start looking to solve this problem. i did search but nothing came up.thanx for any help.

The plug that goes into the ballest, flip it around, what I have noticed is that if you invert the plug it works

Thanx for the quick reply,:-( it didn't help, when I flipped them not even the headlights would work? Fog fuse is good. The HIDs I got are single beam, and there is only 2 cables going to the 3 cable connector on the car. The high beam cable is not connected, could that be the cause ? I haven't done the foglight rewire would it fix it?

If I understand that correctly, the fogs won't work if the headlights aren't "on" according to the wiring, which I suspect an HID setup would alter...

That's true because of the combo switch on the ground side but the other problem is there's no filaments in HID...

Did you check the H.I.D´s before install them??? sometimes it comes in bad order(many times ballast)It happened to me once... :icon_mad:

No filament, no circuit completion, gotcha.

Huh... that raises the question (to me anyway) of, "how the hell do HID's produce light then?" Looks like I have something else to read up on.
