Just ordered a flex-a-lite 6 row trans cooler, Don't know if I should mount it behind the intercooler or in front of it.. Im thinking behind it.. My fan pulls A LOT of air through everything.. What do you guys think?

Dimensions of the cooler core are 7 1/2x 17, Overall length of 20 inches.. My intercooler core dimensions is 11x20 so It should fit perfect either behind it or in front of it.

Thanks for chiming in.

I'd say behind it. If you're worried about air flow, either get a pusher fan on the front or a puller fan on the back

+1 with moy on behind.

the tranny oil is going to be warmer than you air charge, so if mounted in front, the warm air will warm the ic. which we dont want

Yep, Will be mounted behind, My fan pulls so much air I can put a piece of paper in front of the bottom grill and it will hold it tight up against it.. Gotta love proper ducting and a beast fan

Running a Ford Taurus Fan on high speed. It pulls 35 Amps so you need to upgrade the alternator to a high output..

I ended up going with a Hayden 8 row designed for Full size motor homes and 5th wheels towing 10,000 lbs or more.. It works excellent with the new transmission
